Examples of my early interest in found imagery of luscious textures and surfaces that mimic the seductive structures and sublime elements of the universe. Magazine cutouts immediately reference icons of mass culture, materialism, and the human pursuits of science, sophistication, beauty and destruction.
The elegance of the visual and the force of the physical informed my surrealist vision of the evolution and leftovers of human excess; displayed as part of a contemplative exhibit about human connection to the natural world, with artists Tang, Christine Tillman, and Chad Yencer.
